There's nothing quite like Monday nights at Hendrys.
Join us for eight weeks of Mahjong, friendly competition, and community as we kick off our Fall Mahjong League beginning Monday, August 24. Whether you're looking to sharpen your strategy, challenge yourself, or simply enjoy an evening with fellow Mahjong enthusiasts, this league is designed to make every Monday night one to look forward to.
League Schedule
Regular Season:
🍂 Monday, August 24 – Monday, October 5
Championship Night:
🏆 Monday, October 12
Time: 5:30 PM each Monday
All league play will take place at Hendrys.
League Format
During the seven-week regular season, players will be seated using a round-robin format, allowing everyone the opportunity to play with a variety of opponents throughout the season.
Standings will be based on National Mah Jongg League scoring.
To provide flexibility for vacations, illness, or an occasional off week, your best six of the first seven weeks will count toward the regular-season standings.
On Championship Night, players will be seated according to the final regular-season standings. Your Championship Night score will then be added to your regular-season total to determine the 2026 House of Hailos Fall League Champion.
Substitutes are permitted during the regular season but may not be used on Championship Night.
Prizes
🍁 Weekly prizes will be awarded throughout the season.
🏆 Our 2026 House of Hailos Fall League Champion will receive a beautiful new Mahjong tile set along with year-long bragging rights.
Who Can Join?
Players should already know how to play American Mahjong independently using the current National Mah Jongg League card.
Whether you're returning for another season or joining your first House of Hailos league, we'd love to have you at the table.
Space is limited, and registration is required to reserve your seat.

Whether you've never touched a tile or just want a confidence refresher, Mahjong 101 is your perfect starting point — a lively, hands-on introduction to this timeless game of strategy, connection, and fun. Hosted in the stylish setting of House of Hailos, this 2-hour class walks you through everything you need to play with confidence from day one.

Guided Play - Aug 27, 2026
Ready to play Mahjong but still want a little help along the way?
Guided Mahjong Play Night is designed for players who have completed Mahjong 101 or understand the basics but would like more practice before joining regular open play. We’ll play at a comfortable pace while offering help with reading the card, choosing a hand, navigating the Charleston, using jokers and making decisions throughout the game.
Questions are encouraged, and there’s no pressure to play quickly or keep score. This is your chance to practice, build confidence and become more comfortable playing independently.
